Fall 2021 Exhibit: Seed Bead Stories
I believe it is important that art tells a story, evokes an emotion, or connects to a memory. That philosophy carries over into my jewelry designs – each of the pieces in this collection has a story to tell. Whether it is fossilized dinosaur bone from the Jurassic period, petrified wood from the Colorado Plateau, Ammonite from Madagascar, or hardened layers of old paint from the Corvette factory, each piece has a history to share. It is also important to me that these necklaces and collars are unique – the wearer will never enter a retail chain store and see someone else wearing an identical piece.
The pieces pictured below were on exhibit at the Page-Walker Arts & History Center in downtown Cary, NC from September 15th through November 12th, 2021. The dinosaur bone piece (top left) is still available for purchase.
