Sonora Sunrise is a semi-precious stone found in Sonora, Mexico. It's also known as Sonora Sunset, Chrysocolla Cuprite, or Sonora Sunrose.  The name Sonora pays homage to the Mexican state where it's found.  The name also evokes the sunrise or sunset, as the stone's colors resemble desert landscapes at those times. Some say Sonora Sunrise can relieve stress and anxiety.  In Native American cultures, chrysocolla is known as a healing stone that can strengthen the body's resistance and bring calm feelings.
